Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Africa New Talent (To be completed, To be completed). For any question about your data: contact@africanewtalent.org.
We apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to all users, wherever they are.
What data do we collect?

| "Like" button | An irreversible fingerprint (hash) of the IP address, only to prevent multiple votes. |
| Security | Technical logs (IP address, browser, date) kept for a few days by our host to block attacks and bots. |
Why, and on what legal basis?
- Create and display your profile to clubs, agents and scouts — performance of the service you request (contract).
- Publish a minor's profile — consent of the parent or legal guardian, required before any publication.
- Answer your messages and applications — your request (pre-contractual measures).
- Manage the Premium subscription — contract, and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- Secure the website (anti-bot, anti-fraud, anonymous audience statistics) — legitimate interest.
We never sell your data and we do not run targeted advertising.
Protection of minors
The profile of a player under 18 is never published without the agreement of a parent or legal guardian (or the attestation of their academy, which holds this agreement). On a minor's public pages, only the initial of the last name is shown and contact details are never visible.
The parent or guardian can withdraw their agreement at any time by writing to contact@africanewtalent.org: the profile is then removed from the website immediately.
Who can see your data?
- The public (visitors, clubs, agents) only sees the published profile: first name, last name (initial for minors), age category, position, country, photo, videos, and WhatsApp only if an adult player chooses to show it.
- The Africa New Talent team (administrator) for account management and moderation.
- Our technical providers, who process data only on our instructions:

When data is processed outside the European Union, transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long do we keep it?
- Account and profile: as long as the account is active. After 3 years without login, we notify you and then delete the account.
- Parental authorisation: for the life of the profile, then 3 years to be able to prove the agreement in case of dispute.
- Contact messages and applications: 3 years after the last exchange.
- Payment data: 10 years (accounting obligation).
- Security logs: a few days.
Your rights
At any time you can: access your data, correct it, delete it, object to processing, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format (portability) and withdraw your consent.
Most information can be changed directly from your account. For anything else, write to contact@africanewtalent.org: we answer within one month at most.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNIL in France or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands).
Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site, encrypted passwords, data access restricted by database-level security rules, private documents (authorisations, applications) stored in non-public storage, anti-bot protection on forms.
Changes
We may update this policy. The update date is shown at the top of the page; for any significant change, we will let you know by email or on the website.
